Zapier

What is zapier?

Zapier allows you to easily connect the web applications you use, making it very easy to automate tedious tasks. You can wait for developers of third-party applications to offer the SaaS integrations you need. You can hire expensive self-employed programmers to develop a customized program just for you. Or you can do it yourself with Zapier, and then refocus on the work that really matters.

  • Zapier is a complete web tool that allows us to connect different applications together and automate our work processes.

  • It has a free version and a paid version. With the free version you can create up to 5 Zaps and 100 tasks.

  • A Zap is a specific task that you can automate. It is an intermediary between a trigger and an action.

  • A Zap can only have one trigger, but it can have several actions.

How does it work?

Most web applications have an API (Application Programming Interfaces) an API is a formal specification about how a module of a software communicates or interacts with another.

Explained more simply, Zapier is an intermediary between two services, Gmail and Dropbox, for example, what it does is act as an intermediary for its APIs

You have more than 1000 applications connected to your service and for each application, you have several triggers or triggers and actions.

Thanks to Zapier we can configure a task so that each time we publish a new article on our blog, it will automatically be published on Twitter (or on another social network).
